Exclusive Charter Service
Original boats was awarded the tender ( ESO 01/08) by the Robben Island Museum for the provision of a VIP Boat Service to Robben Island . The Purpose of this project was to provide an exclusive service aimed at dignitaries, celebrities and discerning visitors who enjoyed a personalised visit to the island.
Original Boats employed the services of John Martin, a seasoned skipper to run the operation . He and his team are on standby 24/7.
The offering is to provide 7 star treatment to guests. The minute you board the motor yacht , you are swept away in a world of luxury from rose scented cloths to freshen up, welcome cocktsails to the sheer feel of leather wood and glass that meets the eye. Crystal glassware, silverware, Egyptian linen on the beds entice the senses. You set sail from the Gateway in the V&A Waterfront to Robben Island. On docking you are met by a dedicated tour guide and shuttle bus to take you on a unique and personalised tour.
You will see sites of the island not available to the general public. You will feel the hardships of the prisoners that were incarcerated on the island and yet the absolute hope and peace that the island now yields . On return to the motor yacht , you are treated to a sumptuous array of foods and drinks to delight the most discerning , after which, the captain sets sail for a scenic return to Cape Town via Camps Bay
